Events and shows

At exhibitions, robots are a magnet. People stop and film themselves at a booth with a humanoid or robot dog—no promoters or flyers needed—and this is the only format that consistently draws a line to the stand.

Key point: for events, renting is usually more cost-effective. You need the equipment for three days a year, it costs as much as a car, and you still have to store and maintain it.

What to check before buying

These are the pitfalls on site. None of these are shown in the manufacturer's presentation — but any of them can halt your project after delivery.

  1. Venue: floor covering, thresholds, ceiling height, and backstage charging space. A stage with a podium is a separate consideration.
  2. Operator: the robot can’t perform a complex program on its own; you need a person at the console and a rehearsal at the venue.
  3. Time buffer: the battery lasts for hours, not the whole exhibition day. You’ll need a second battery or a charging window.
  4. Organizer approval: some venues require special permission and insurance for autonomous equipment.
