What to check before buying
These are the pitfalls on site. None of these are shown in the manufacturer's presentation — but any of them can halt your project after delivery.
- Coordinate with security and safety teams before buying, not after. A robot on the route changes their protocols.
- Filming people: if the robot has a camera, you need signs and to reflect this in personal data documents.
- Escalators are impassable for robots—access to a freight elevator and its schedule is required.
- Charging station: outlet, space, and nighttime access for cleaning staff.
