Warehouses and logistics

In the warehouse, the robot wins not by speed, but by doing the same task without skipping. By the end of a shift, a person miscounts—while the robot reads tags the same on the first and thousandth shelf.

Second—transport between zones. This job doesn’t require qualifications but fully occupies people, making it the easiest to hand over to automation.

What to check before buying

These are the pitfalls on site. None of these are shown in the manufacturer's presentation — but any of them can halt your project after delivery.

  1. Floor covering and ramp slope: cracks and joints knock wheeled platforms off route, and this is only visible on site.
  2. WMS integration: without it, the robot moves items, but the system doesn’t know what was delivered, defeating the purpose.
  3. Forklift crossings: priority rules are needed, or the first conflict will stop the area.
  4. Temperature: in a cold warehouse, battery life drops sharply, and stated runtime is almost halved.
