Chery wants to put a robot in your home that will remember your conversations. This is Mobo from AiMOGA, the robotics brand of the car maker. It is built for communication and everyday family life.
What is known about Mobo
- according to the developers, it recognizes objects, holds a conversation and reminds you of planned tasks;
- long-term memory lets it return to what you discussed earlier;
- 22 degrees of freedom: the robot gestures and dances, and obstacle avoidance is provided for moving around the home;
- inside is its own artificial intelligence system, Mo Agent: it is meant to break complex requests into steps and plan their execution.

What is not there yet
The robot has already been shown at exhibitions, and a presentation opening international pre-orders was scheduled for October 21 in Wuhu, China. The latest announcement does not yet give the price or delivery times. So it is not possible now to say how much such a home helper costs and when it will appear outside China.
Why this matters
Car makers are entering the market for home robots: they have manufacturing, service and experience with complex electronics. Whatever happens with Mobo, it is another signal that family companion robots are moving from laboratories to store shelves. We follow the pre-orders and will tell you when the price and terms appear.
