Dobot starts volume deliveries of its industrial humanoid ATOM

The third batch of full-size ATOM units has gone into production and out to factories. The robot walks with straight knees and works to ±0.05 mm repeatability — soldering electronics, doing fine calibration. The stated price is around $27,500 per unit.

On February 4, 2026, Dobot began mass production and delivery of the third batch of full-size industrial humanoid ATOM. The company calls this the start of large-scale shipments ahead of deploying robots in real-world manufacturing throughout the year. In published footage from the shipping site, rows of ATOM walk in sync, maintain balance, and perform precise assembly.

According to Dobot, ATOM is the first full-size humanoid to combine dexterous manipulation with walking on straight, unbent knees. The robot features 28 degrees of freedom and five-fingered hands, with upper and lower body movements coordinated by Dobot’s proprietary Neuro-Driven System. Positioning repeatability is ±0.05 mm, on par with industrial manipulators—sufficient for electronics soldering and precise calibration.

The model was unveiled in March 2025 with a price of about 199,000 yuan, or roughly $27,500. Dobot shipped the first batch in June 2025 in Nagoya together with Japanese integrator ASKA Corporation. In Germany, ATOM is already being tested by Terra Robotics: according to engineers, the robot reliably and consistently performs assigned tasks in structured environments, but is not yet able to make independent decisions or learn on the fly.

At the same time, Dobot is building a unified training ground: the robot learns operations by operator demonstration in VR and, according to the company, transitions to independent execution in just two hours. Remote VR control is currently available only for the upper body.

Behind Dobot is the experience of China’s largest cobot exporter—over 80,000 of its manipulators operate in more than 80 countries, forming a global service network. For buyers, ATOM is currently a tool for structured, repetitive tasks. Before integrating it into a project, it’s worth testing the specific scenario in a pilot.
